ADHD Awareness Campaign 2025

Kuwait Association for Learning Differences Celebrates ADHD Awareness Month From The Avenues Mall, the Kuwait Association for Learning Differences (KALD) launched its annual October campaign to raise awareness about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In previous years, the association focused on raising awareness as a primary focus of its work, elaborating on the nature of the disorder and its symptoms.

This year, however, it decided to focus on highlighting the campaign slogan: "You Are Not Alone," to demonstrate the importance of parental support, school understanding, and societal acceptance of individuals with learning differences, as well as providing them with opportunities for inclusion and success. Support is considered the second most important pillar of its five-year plan. The association's activities began at The Avenues Mall – First Dome on October 27th and will continue until October 31st, marking its fourth consecutive year. During its activities this year, the association offered a range of free services and specialized consultations, including a preliminary ADHD assessment, in addition to a comprehensive educational program for children aimed at supporting them academically, psychologically, and socially.

The association also provided detailed information about specialized schools for students with learning differences, and the latest therapeutic approaches and support programs that help children express themselves confidently and overcome educational challenges. In a statement on this occasion, Ms. Amal Al-Sayer, founder and chairperson of the Kuwait Association for Learning Differences, confirmed that the results of the survey conducted by the association indicate that approximately 30% of students exhibit signs of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and intervention, which can begin as early as three years old. Ms. Al-Sayer also expressed her deep gratitude to the management of The Avenues Mall – Mabanee Company for their ongoing support and cooperation, and to all the volunteers, individuals, and companies who contributed to the success of the event through their efforts and active humanitarian participation. The association’s pavilion at The Avenues witnessed a large turnout of visitors, who benefited from the initial screening and learning about the association’s activities and programs aimed at parents, such as forums, conferences and educational workshops, in addition to the integrated educational program that provides comprehensive support to students at the academic, psychological and social levels.
